Huandoy: 6,395 meters (20,981 feet), Cordillera Blanca
Nevado Huandoy is the second highest mountain in the Cordillera Blanca after Huascarán, which is about 11 km to the south of Huandoy. The mountain has four distinct peaks, with the three main summits all above 6,000 feet.
Like many of the tallest mountains in the Cordillera Blanca, Huandoy is located in Huascarán National Park. Most climbers enter via Huaraz before beginning the ascent of Huandoy through the mountain’s dangerous icefall.
